Hi
One of my customers tried to install the kernelcad 3.2 runtime package on a Windows 8 machine. It had some problems.
It seems the problem is that the runtime needs .NET version 2 or 3, while Windows 8 has .net v4. It does not seem to be backward compatible.
Any suggestions?
Thank You
.NET version issue
Re: .NET version issue
Hi Thomas
To fix this please enable the .Net framework v3.5. It is not installed by default. To do that go to Control Panel > Programs and Features.
- Click “Turn Windows features on or off” on the left.
- Check Microsoft .NETFramework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)
- Expand the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) item
- Make sure that Windows Communication Foundation HTTP Activation is selected
After this the installation should work OK
Kind regards
Angela
