Engrave Application
Engrave is a standalone command-line application for engraving or embossing 3D solid text into surface of 3D CAD objects. It is particularly useful for 3D printing.
No programming is needed to use Engrave. The interface is very simple. It uses a simple format of job file. The text can be multiline and any can use any installed true type font.
Geometric size, position and orientation are specified in the job file. The engraved text follows the surface curvature at specified depth or height and spacing parameters.
Supported formats for input and output files: STEP, IGES, BREP, .mdg, VRML, .obj, .stl, .glm
If the input is a parametric solid the result is a parametric solid as well.
The application can be used standalone or can be executed from another application or component via the operating system API.
