Hello
I have problem with Boolean union on my objects.
I have attached a test file as MDG. It was created by opening two IGES files, then saving as MDG. Using the BoolOp sample app,
I cannot get these two objects to unite. Thoughts?
Thanks
Mick

Re: Problem with union on IGES objects
Hi
The model does not contain any solids. This must be because iges is only a set of separate faces. This is the main problem with iges. That is why .step is the preferred format to work with.
There is a way to sew up faces into a solid, when they do form a nicely closed surface. Unfortunately, it is unexposed functionality at the moment. Currently it is used only in our Engrave utility. I believe in Engrave it is done automatically on iges load if some flag is set in context.
We have added it as a high priority for v7.2. Please get in touch if is urgent.
