BRep 3D Objects
BRep 3D solid objects are modelled as closed surfaces. Normally they consist of a
number of smooth patches (faces) joined together by edges to form a water-tight
closed surface.
The same technology is used to represent 2D open surfaces in 3D space like curved
polygons and surfaces built by joining them
There are two types of BRep sections in KernelCAD: The most flexible type is the
bspline brep type of objects.
Another, native to KernelCAD, BRep section is used to
represent BRep objects with flat faces and more rare internally generated BRep
objects with mixed free-form meshed and flat patches.
