Profiles
Profile is a special case of 2D Segment Strip.
Profiles represent plots of cross-sectional parameters against position of
the cross-section. Because of that n-th point of a Profile always has n-th Base knot
as its first coordinate. Another difference from general strips is that profile
represents a function, which means that any vertical line intersects
the profile not more than once.
Segments of a profile are called Axial Segments. Joint points in a
profile are called Axial Points. Assuming that one has access to the axial Base,
axial point can be determined by its index in the strip and its vertical
coordinate.
